Big-spending FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC has signed two South Sudanese internationals.
On Wednesday, the law enforcers confirmed the signing of center-back Rashid Toha and striker Titto Okello.
The duo was unveiled on Wednesday ahead of the team’s second game of the season against Posta Rangers at Kenya Police Pavillion on Friday.
Okello previously played for Gor Mahia before joining Uganda Premier League side Vipers while Toha joins from Arua Hill, a Ugandan club based in the West Nile region. Other high-profile signings include midfielder Kenneth Muguna who parted ways with Tanzania Premier Leaguse side Azam and Tyson Otieno
On Tuesday, Kenya Police edged non-league side Restart Africa FC 5-0 in a friendly match. On Saturday, the star-studded Police side was held to a surprise barren draw by Kariobangi Sharks.
“I’m now done with the transfer business. My focus is now on the league. We want to lift our maiden Kenya Premier League title,” said coach Francis Baraza. Baraza is deputized by Salim Babu.
“During our pre-season in Tanzania and Uganda, I felt like we needed more firepower in attack. I sat down with management and they agreed we add one more striker in our ranks,” said the former international defender.
The window is scheduled to close on Friday, September 15 while the international transfer window has already been closed.
