Louis Saha on Man Utd’s treatment of David De Gea:
🗣️ “No-one deserves this, especially when you’ve been a long servant. But it’s complicated. The club want to move forwards and there’s a question to be answered over De Gea – a difficult one but a fair one.
“The club is trying to develop the way they play, and the goalkeeper position is very important to Erik ten Hag in the way he plays. So, the treatment of De Gea is fair, but it’s not an easy one.
“It’s similar to what we saw with Cristiano Ronaldo where they have a world class player but they’re making mistakes. Communication is a very important and whilst it’s great for the media, the uncertainty isn’t good for the player or the staff.”
David De Gea started playing in 2003 as a youth in Atletico Madrid before joining the Atletico Madrid B team as a senior player. He made a total of 92 appearances at Atletico Madrid.
David De Gea joined Man United in 2011 where he has made 415 appearance for the club and is one of the longest serving player in the team.
His outstanding job in the field so him crowned with the golden glove in the 2022/23 premier league season.
