Suspects reportedly withdrew over KSh100,000 from Ayieko’s account across multiple locations in Siaya.

Slain Wells Fargo Human Resource Manager Willia Ayieko
In the ongoing investigation into the murder of Wells Fargo Human Resource Manager Willis Ayieko, authorities have interrogated two Mpesa agents who may hold critical information about the suspects. The killers are reported to have withdrawn more than KSh100,000 from Ayieko’s mobile account in Siaya County on October 19 and 20.
Detectives have stated they are progressing well in uncovering leads. An autopsy on Ayieko’s body is scheduled to be conducted at the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi. A special investigative team from Nairobi joined local detectives on Thursday and reported that promising leads are being pursued.
The incident is currently being investigated under murder and robbery with violence charges. Police confirmed Ayieko, a licensed firearm holder, had his pistol with 14 rounds of ammunition stolen during the attack. However, the exact motive remains unclear.
Ayieko’s body was found partially decomposed in the Mungowere stream in Yala, Siaya County, on October 23. Bruises on his face and torso suggested signs of torture and that his body had been dragged before being discarded at the scene. A student discovered the body after Ayieko had been reported missing by family on October 21.
His vehicle was later found abandoned in Sabatia, Kakamega, several kilometers from the location where his body was found. Ayieko had last been seen on October 18 after attending a vigil in Gem, Siaya County, sparking questions about his movements and the events leading up to his tragic death.
