Newcomers Murang’a Seal piled more misery on Sofapaka after beating the former Kenya Premier League champions 2-0 at SportsPesa arena in Murang’a.

Veteran striker John Kiplagat grabbed a brace for the hosts. Sofapaka remains winless in the league so far and parted ways with Burundian coach Francis Haringingo and his assistant Pablo Nduwimana.

Ezekiel Akwana took over from the Burundian. Sofapaka sits bottom of the table and remains winless after six games.

Ulinzi Stars registered their second win of the season after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks. Veteran Enosh Ochieng scored the lone goal for the soldiers.

Kenya Police beat Nairobi City Stars 1-0 at Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi. South Sudanese striker Tito Okello scored the goal from a penalty spot.

It was a second win on the trot for coach Zdravko Logarušić since he took over from sacked Francis Baraza. Last weekend, the law enforcers beat Bidco United 2-0.

The Mashemeji Derby ended with a routine 2-0 win for Gor Mahia against bitter rivals AFC Leopards at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani. Striker Benson Omalla scored a double for Gor Mahia as they continued with their dominance over Ingwe.

Ingwe and Sofapaka remain the only teams yet to taste a win in the current season after six games. Ingwe is 17th on the log and Sofapaka 18th.

Pressure is piling on coach Tom Juma to resign following the poor run.
