Newly promoted Kenya Premier League outfit Murang’a Seals will part ways with up to 10 players.
Coach Vincent Nyaberi confirmed the release of six players already. Those released are Henry Omollo, Cedric Atsango, Alvin Odoyo, John Mwangi, and Eric Sinje while Gideon Were is said to be heading to KPL side Nairobi City Stars.
“It’s true we have released six players and we are in the process of signing the save number of players. We have a good team but we want to beef it with experienced players,” Nyaberi added.
He added: “The new signings will join us when we resume our pre season training on Monday next week. We have lined up several friendly games ahead of Kenya Premier League debut against Shabana.”
Murang’a Seal will make their KPL bow against Shabana at Gusii Stadium on August 27.
Meanwhile, National Super League side Kajiado FC have unveiled Mohammed Hamisi as their head coach.
Also joining the Kajiado based side’s technical bench is former Harambee Stars U23, Nakuru All Stars, Muhoroni Youth, Kakamega Homeboys coach Peter Okidi. Okidi will be Hamisi’s assistant coach. Hamisi replaced martin Mutembei who resigned after the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.
Additionally, the club will be conduct trials from July 20 to August 3. The trials will be conducted across the county at Nakeel grounds in Rongai, Roadblock grounds in Kitengela, Mashuru stadium, Katoo Stadium in Loitoktok, Molem grounds in Magadi, and Nkanas Stadium in Maili Tisa. The club which was formerly known as Dandora Love finished 15th on the log in the just concluded season.
