Nzioka Waita, who previously served under President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, has taken on a new role as Africa Managing Director at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. The institute, established by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, praised Waita’s qualifications, emphasizing his alignment with their mission of providing strategic advisory services to political leaders globally.

  • Political Aspirations: In 2022, he contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat but lost to Wavinya Ndeti.
  • Corporate Experience: Waita spent 14 years at Safaricom, serving as the telco’s head of corporate affairs for four years.

Waita holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sheffield and a Master’s degree in IT and Telecommunications Law from Queen Mary University of London.
