Kenyan comedian Professor Hamo recently opened up about a past scandal that nearly ended his marriage and caused significant public uproar.

In a heartfelt revelation, Hamo spoke candidly about the mistakes that led to an affair, the challenges of fatherhood, and the journey toward reconciliation with his wife and comedienne Jemutai, with whom he shares two children.

A Candid Confession: “Greed Led Me Astray”

During a recent interview, Hamo acknowledged that his actions were driven by what he described as “bodily greed,” leading him to stray from his marital vows.

“I had a wife, but my bodily greed made me stop using my head to think. I almost destroyed the life of someone’s child. But we forgave each other. No one messed up; we both did,” he shared.

The comedian admitted that his decisions nearly tore his marriage apart and impacted the lives of his children. However, self-reflection and faith played pivotal roles in helping him navigate the fallout.

Faith and Personal Growth

Hamo credits his renewed faith for guiding him through the turmoil and helping him rebuild his life.

“I have God now. That’s how I got to this place. I started being hard-headed,” he said, highlighting the importance of taking responsibility for his actions and embracing personal growth.

Turbulent Relationship with Jemutai

Hamo’s relationship with Jemutai began in 2015, and the two share two children. Despite their history, the relationship faced significant challenges, including public allegations from Jemutai about Hamo neglecting his parental responsibilities.

In a widely publicized feud, Jemutai accused Hamo of failing to pay rent and adequately provide for their children. She claimed that he would occasionally visit late at night, sometimes intoxicated, and only bring minor items for the children, overlooking their essential needs.

Moving Past the Drama

Despite their public fallout, the two have reconciled and now maintain a respectful co-parenting relationship. Hamo reflected on the tough lessons they learned together.

“My baby mama and I would not have the respect we now have for each other if we did not go through these things. We are raising the kids properly, and everyone is leading their own lives. I am supporting the kids, not the mother. I have a wife,” he stated.

Rebuilding His Marriage

Hamo also shared insights into how he and his wife worked through their differences to repair their relationship. He emphasized the importance of forgiveness, acknowledging that both parties made mistakes but chose to move forward together.

“We forgave each other,” he reiterated, noting that the process required mutual understanding and a commitment to rebuilding trust.
