Shabana assistant coach Kevin Momanyi believes the team is on the right track despite going three games without a win in the Kenya Premier League.

“We were unlucky during the game against Kenya Police but we have worked on the mistakes we have witnessed in the first three games,” he said.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game against Kariobangi Sharks at Raila Odinga Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, Momanyi added: “Our first win is on the way. The boys are working hard in training and I trust we shall get a positive result on Saturday.”

On Saturday, Momanyi hopes to have the trio of captain Bernard Otieno, forwards Nehemiah Onchiri and Isaac Otieno. The trio missed Shabana’s 1-1 draw against Kenya Police last weekend due to injuries.

“They have trained this week so we hope they will pass a late fitness test on Friday before we travel to Homa Bay,” added Momanyi.

Bidco United will battle it out at Kasarani Annex Stadium while Tusker will host Muhoroni Youth Ruaraka Stadium.

Struggling Kenya Police and AFC Leopards will face off at Police Sacco Stadium. Both teams remain winless in the Kenya Premier League.

On Sunday, Nairobi City Stars hosts Nzoia Sugar at Ruaraka grounds as KCB battles with Bandari at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani. Ulinzi Stars will be at home against Sofapaka at Ulinzi Sports Complex. Ulinzi remains winless after three outings.

Newly promoted Murang’a Seal hosts log leaders Posta Rangers at St Sebastian Park while Kakamega Homeboyz hosts champions Gor Mahia at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
