Shabana holds Talanta in KPL - Kenyan News

Shabana picked their first point in the Kenya Premier League AFTEr holding Talanta FC to a 1-1 draw at Nyayo National Stadium on Friday evening.

The first half witnessed both teams failing to find the back of the net. However, the second half saw a change in tempo, with both sides striving to gain the upper hand.

In the 90th minute, Kevington Machika netted for FC Talanta, increasing the pressure on Shabana.

The visitors remained composed, and seconds later, Justine Omwando scored the equalizer, sending thousands of fans into a frenzy.

At the Police Sacco Stadium, Kenya Police succumbed to a shocking 3-0 loss against Posta Rangers. Curtis Wekesa opened the scoring for the Mailmen in the 6th minute, with new signing Jackson Macharia adding another goal in the 77th minute. Brian Otieno sealed the deal with his goal in the 90th minute.

Bandari notched their first away win at Kasarani Annex, defeating Sofapaka 1-0 with Umaru Kasumba finding the back of the net in the 2nd minute.

At Kasarani Main Stadium, Derrick Otanga’s lone goal in the 78th minute secured a victory for KCB against AFC Leopards.

Muhoroni Youth and Nzoia Sugar battled to a 1-1 draw at Muhoroni Stadium in Kisumu County.

Dan Wafula scored for the Cane Millers in the 38th minute, and Collins Odhiambo converted from the spot just before half-time to equalize.

Three more matches are scheduled for Saturday, featuring Tusker against Kariobangi Sharks, Murang’a Seal hosting Kakamega Homeboyz, and Ulinzi Stars facing Gor Mahia. On Sunday, Bidco United will take on Nairobi City Stars in the remaining fixture.
