Kenya Premier League side Shabana has so far registered 34 branches across the country, Vice chairman Wycliffe Ayienda announced on Tuesday.

He however said only 10 have received their registration certificates after complying fully with the requirements.

“We have started issuing certificates to branches that are fully compliant. We are asking the branches that applied for registration to fully comply before the deadline,” he said.

Speaking at Kisii Sports Club after issuing a registration certificate to G6 Titanic branch, Ayienda said they are targeting to enlist at least 10 members.

According to Ayienda, a club must have at least 50 members and must pay a registration fee of Sh500.

“There are benefits for fully paid-up members. The benefits include discounts on merchandise and match day tickets,” he added.

He added that after the current registration is completed, the club will move to the next round where bronze, platinum, gold, and life members will be registered.

Ayienda asked fans to carry themselves with decorum during match days. “We have had incidents of bad behavior in our last two games. Kindly let’s just cheer the team and remain peaceful,” Ayienda added.

On the team’s performance in the last two games, Ayienda agreed with the fans that the performance was disappointing. “We hope to pick our first three points against Kenya Police. The technical bench has identified weak areas which led to the loss and draw in the last two games. I’m confident that we shall beat Kenya Police,” he noted.

Shabana will battle Kenya Police on Saturday at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay county seeking their first win of the season.
