Kenya Premier League giants Tusker has confirmed three more departures from the club.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the club confirmed the departure of midfielder Shami Mwinyi after one season at Tusker. He was signed by Kakamega Homeboyz.

Also leaving the brewers is South Sudanese striker David Majak Chan and goalkeeper Micheal Wanjala.

Wanjala leaves the club after four seasons. “He arrived just before the 2019-20 season from Bungoma Superstars. Mike played a crucial role as we clinched the title in the 2020-21 season,” the club said in a statement.

Majak joined the Brewers from the defunct Mt Kenya United. Tusker is seeking to sign at least six players as they seek to reclaim the Kenya Premier League next season.

They narrowly missed the title last season. The battle for the title went to the wire but eventually, Gor Mahia emerged winners.

Tusker also lost in the MozzartBet final going down 1-0 to Kakamega Homeboyz. Homeboyz will represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup competition

Homeboyz will play against El Hilal (Libya) in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. The winner of this match will play Rayon Sport (Rwanda) in the second round.

The first leg of the preliminary round will be played between September  15th to 17th, 2023 (Home), while the second leg to be played between September 29 and October 1, 2023 (Away).
