Authorities in Ruai, Nairobi County, are investigating claims of police misconduct after a woman accused rogue officers of raiding her home in search of Ksh.20 million allegedly stolen from Turkana Senator James Lomenen. According to a police report, Trizar Theo Wariong’s residence was targeted by five police officers on Saturday night. The officers allegedly demanded the sum they claimed belonged to Senator Lomenen, who is her estranged partner.

Officers Seize Cash During Night Raid
The report detailed that three officers from Njathaini Police Station forced their way into Trizar’s home, heading directly to her bedroom. They reportedly took USD 15,000 (approximately Ksh.1.9 million) and Ksh.200,000 from a suitcase before leaving the premises.
Kidnapped and Intimidated
Trizar further alleged that she was forcibly removed from her home and bundled into a waiting saloon car. The car, initially occupied by two officers from Kamulu Police Station, made a stop at Kamulu shopping center, where two civilians—a man and a woman—joined the group.
Trizar’s ordeal took a darker turn as she recounted being driven to an undisclosed location and coerced to disclose the whereabouts of the remaining money. She claimed she was subjected to threats and torture throughout the night.
“They eventually returned me to my house in the early hours of the morning, but not before issuing life-threatening warnings,” she stated in her report.
Police Probe Underway
Following the incident, investigators identified two officers, Kevin Ombajo and David Aduda, as part of the operation. Both are attached to Njathaini Police Station. Efforts are ongoing to uncover the identities of the other individuals involved.
This case has drawn public attention, raising concerns about accountability and misuse of power within law enforcement. The authorities have pledged a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.
