Monday, September 1, 2025 – What was supposed to be a night of fun and celebration in Nairobi ended in unspeakable tragedy after a young woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death just hours after the two were seen partying together.
The Couple’s Last Night Out
The couple, described by friends as vibrant and inseparable, attended a live performance by popular Ohangla star Odongo Swag at Benelix Lounge, one of Nairobi’s busiest entertainment spots.
Photos taken at the event, now widely shared on social media, show the pair smiling, laughing, and affectionately posing together—giving no hint of the tragedy that was about to unfold.
From Celebration To Chaos
According to eyewitness reports, the two later left the club and proceeded to the woman’s residence in Pipeline Estate, Embakasi.
Neighbors say an argument erupted between the lovers in the early hours of the morning. The heated confrontation allegedly escalated beyond control, with the woman reportedly reaching for a kitchen knife and stabbing her boyfriend in the chest.
The victim, identified as Teddy, is said to have collapsed on the spot and succumbed to his injuries before medical help could arrive.

Friends and relatives of the deceased described Teddy as a jovial, friendly, and social young man who loved music, parties, and spending time with friends. His sudden death has left his circle of friends in shock, many struggling to come to terms with how a night of love and partying turned into a nightmare.

Police officers from Embakasi division confirmed the incident and have launched investigations. The suspect, believed to be in her early 20s, has been taken into custody as detectives work to piece together the events that led to the fatal stabbing.
